OUR Beliefs

GOD

One eternally existing God in three distinct persons:

  • God the Father -the Creator of Heaven and Earth; He made man in His image and likeness. He is eternal, omnipresent (everywhere, all the time), omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (all-knowing), and holy.
  • God the Son -Jesus Christ, the God incarnate, fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He was crucified and died for the sins of humanity on the cross at Calvary, buried, and rose from the dead on the third day. And He ascended into Heaven and is forever seated at the right hand of God the Father.
  • God the Holy Spirit -the Comforter and Teacher of all things, who dwells within us, uniting us to Jesus Christ.  God is unchangeable; therefore, He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

HOLY BIBLE

We believe the Holy Bible is the infallible, error-free, and authoritative Word of God to direct all men and women to salvation in Christ and to guide us in all righteousness and holy living.

SALVATION

We believe that salvation is a gift from God through grace and faith in Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12: “Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name given among men, whereby we must be saved.” We believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood for us on the cross at Calvary and that it cleanses us from all sin and grants us access to the presence of God.

BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is freely available to all who believe in Jesus Christ, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit is manifested by the gift of speaking in tongues.

PRAYER

We believe that prayer is one of the most staggering, encouraging, and challenging privileges in the Christian life given to us by Jesus Christ: ‘one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.’ (Luke 11.1). Prayer brings us in touch with God and others, and as Christians, we pray in the name of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. We give our attention to God through prayer in a two-way spiritual relationship where we talk to God and listen to Him. Matthew 21:22 says, “And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” When we offer every situation to God in prayer, God uses it to bring love and justice into the world.

RESURRECTION

We believe that Jesus will come again to earth in glory and the dead in Christ will rise and those who are alive in Christ will be translated into the presence of God for eternity.
